ODD GYM

Kouta-galleria

15.6.–11.7.2021

I’ve been thinking a lot about finding, or whether it requires something to be lost in the first place. Something can be visible for a long time, but it takes time to notice, as a result of some kind of a process. Artistic practice is a lot about things surfacing, but often it is hard to get a hold of them, or when you do, the finding feels somehow insignificant.

Usually I stop working on a piece when it gently suggests some kind of functionality or action, (or reminds of some pre-existing object), but could still be altered to a variety of directions. I’m intrigued by balancing on invisible borders.
